Djurgården has welcomed visitors for 400 years. Right now, it is our responsibility to ensure that we can keep doing so for another 400 years. It is a responsibility that we are all keen to take on – but above all we want to take it on together. Because we know that we face great challenges better when we stand united.
At Djurgården, almost 60 actors come together to form The Royal Djurgården Society (Kungliga Djurgårdens Intressenter, KDI) and to collaborate to strengthen and develop Djurgården as a visitor destination. We receive visitors from all over the world. In a normal year, we welcome about 15 million visitors, a staggering number. Just imagine how many people we can reach. We want to keep a dialogue with our visitors, with our neighbours and friends in the industry – and we want to hold a dialogue with you, the reader. Because we believe we will be wiser together.
Focus on cooperation and sharing knowledge
Good ideas must be spread, and experiences shared. That’s the purpose of this blog (and of this whole website actually). You will meet several of my colleagues here at Djurgården who will share their thoughts. What are your thoughts?
I lead the work at the Royal Djurgården Society (KDI), and we coordinate a lot of the joint sustainability efforts going on here. Do you have any thoughts about sustainability here at Djurgården specifically or in the hospitality industry in general? Email me at camilla.zedendahl@royaldjurgarden.se or pick up the phone and call me on 0709906973.
