Reunited after 40 years ABBA has released new music that will last not only today but far into the future. The lyrics make their way into my soul. Can we trust each other? What have we caused over the last 40 years – or even further back in time?
Almost 50 years since the Stockholm Conference
Next year will mark 50 years since the UN’s first global environmental meeting, the UN Conference on Human Environment. It was held here in Stockholm on 5–16 June 1972 with 114 countries represented. It’s hard not to think of the frightening fact that we knew better already then, but we did nothing. Imagine if we had acted forcefully then, what would the world have looked like now.
Now, 50 years after the Stockholm Conference, many of us are wondering if we can do this. Do we have it in us? It´s a relevant question. I choose to say yes, we must have it in us. We will find the solutions together. But how do we find the strength? Through common visions and setting goals of course. But nothing can give strength like music:

We need that trust. And to reflect on who we have been. Who we are. And who we want to be.
Words matter – and provides strengts.
I listen to the new songs and think of the great help we received from Björn Ulvaeus to put into words the challenges we have here at Djurgården. Words matter.
