We are building for the future
Djurgården is constantly developing. In 1897, people flocked to Djurgården to see the Stockholm World Fair, which showcased all the latest innovations of the time. Per Anders Fogelström described it as a means of opening the door to the future. Many of Djurgården’s distinctive, imaginative and exotic buildings that anyone can enjoy today were created back then. But the development did not stop there. Instead, Djurgården continues to grow; one attraction is replaced by another, new ones are added and older buildings are filled with new life. This is actually Djurgården’s trademark: tradition and renewal in harmony.
