What a Day in the Life at Royal Djurgården

The morning kicked off with a thought-provoking Djurgården breakfast hosted by Vrak – Museum of Wrecks, where David Sternergard presented the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce’s (Stockholms Handelskammare)views on the critical role of public transport in making Stockholms stad even more attractive. Thank you David!

At Royal Djurgarden we face daily challenges due to insufficient public transport, which affects Stockholmers and visitors alike as they risk to miss out on the unique blend of culture and nature we offer in this National City Park. The situation is urgent, and solutions are needed now. The work continues.

Next, on to an energizing session with the fantastic Strategic Marketing Group, planning for our much-anticipated and important annual meeting November 13th, where all of Royal Djurgården will sit down and strategize for the future.

To top it off, we wrapped up the final meeting of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) Attraction Criteria Advisory Group. The work to set criteria is in its final stage. The Early Adopter Program is launching soon, so attractions around the world – stay tuned!

Now, I’m off to the vernissage of Handarbetets Vänner 150 år, celebrating the rich textile artistry and heritage of Handarbetets Vänner.

What a day and what a privilege!
