In 1897, Djurgården hosted the Stockholm World Fair, which showcased all the latest innovations of the time. At the turn of the century, industrialism really took off, and the general consensus was that things were changing for the better. One of the innovations showcased at the fair was the car and engine, which people were amazed by.
